GUIDELINES

 

Ansiedad y Estrés  publishes theoretical and empirical manuscripts focused on anxiety, stress and other emotions, according to the following rules:

 A. Authors may send their manuscripts in English or Spanish. The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement of receipt and the original manuscript will be peer reviewed by specialists (members of the Editorial Board or specific consultants). Turnaround time for acceptance or rejection of manuscripts will be notified to the author within 6 months. Rejected manuscripts will not be returned. Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, a copyright transfer form will be sent to the corresponding author for completion. Editors, with the corresponding author's consent, may include the manuscript in other monographics published in the journal. The Editorial staff understands that authors take full responsability for their opinions.

C. The recommended content of manuscripts, with an accepted maximum extension of 5000 words, (excluding graphs, tables, and footnotes) include the following:

  1. Research papers and Case Studies: Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion/Conclusions, Notes and References;
  2. Theoretical Reviews: Theoretical Background, Subject Approach, Discussion/Conclusions and References;
  3. Short reports should not exceed 5 DIN-A4 pages and 10 references;
  4. Book reviews should not exceed 2 pages.

 

D. The front page should include the title of the study, author's(s') first and last name(s), affiliation(s), postal address, telephone number and e-mail address. The second page must include title and abstract (no longer than 250 words), both in English and Spanish, and 4-8 key words.

E. Full bibliographic citations for all published works cited in text (do not use footnotes) should be given in a "Bibliography" or "References" section in alphabetical order by first author's surname. Manuscripts need to follow the rules of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (Washington, 7th ed.). Click here.

F. Each time an author is paraphrased, use double quotation marks and cite the source in the text (name of the author, year of publication and page numbers).

G. Do not include tables and graphs in the text, they should appear at the end of the paper. The last page should include headings and legends of tables/graphs in consecutive order. There should be a mark in the manuscript where tables, graphs and figures should be inserted.

Authors submitting a paper do so on the understanding that if it is accepted for publication exclusive copyright in the paper shall be assigned to the Series Editors of the journal "Ansiedad y Estrés". The Editors will not, however, put any limitation on the personal freedom of the author to use material cotained in the paper in other work.
